Social Style and Versatility

Understanding behaviors doesn’t have to be complicated. TRACOM's research-based Social Style Model™ breaks down typical behaviors into four Social Styles: Driving, Expressive, Amiable and Analytical. Once you understand these behaviors, you implement Versatility, the key to making Social Style work. Versatility is the ability to adjust your behaviors in a certain situation for maximum productivity. It’s not changing who you are; it’s being willing to focus on the needs of others more than your own in order make things work. By understanding and adjusting behaviors, you can overcome barriers in communication, reduce conflict and improve productivity. Since the 1960s, millions have used Social Style and Versatility to impact workplace performance.

Leadership development

Leaders are the lifeblood of organizations, and interpersonal skills are a crucial element to their success in daily tasks such as coaching, mentoring and influencing others. The Social Style Model™ successfully enhances the power of those in leadership, giving them the tools to tackle problem areas like employee commitment, team cohesion and the development of employee talents and abilities.

Selling to Achieve Results (STAR)

Sales professionals with high Versatility – those who can adapt their selling style to the buying needs and preferences of their customers – consistently have much stronger, more influential relationships with their customers. STAR is a unique training solution that provides sales professionals with insight into behavioral patterns that affect every step of the sales process. By learning how to recognize these patterns in customers, sales professionals can modify their approach and adapt their behavior to sell the way the customer likes to buy.

Understanding and Managing Behavioral Differences (UMBD)

This one-day course emphasizes working effectively with others based on an understanding of Social Style. Participants complete a multi-rater Social Style and Versatility profile before the class. Profiles are distributed and discussed during the class, which also includes interactive exercises and video segments.

Self-Perception Assessment

Self-profiling builds self-awareness and is a helpful introduction to the SOCIAL STYLE Model™ as a way to work more effectively with others. Choose from paper-based or online profiles to suit your needs.

Questionnaires:

The Social Style Self-Perception Questionnaire assesses how an individual views his or her own behaviors in various situations.
The Versatility Self-Perception Questionnaire assesses how well a person feels he or she works with others and how his or her behaviors affect others.

Using our state-of-the-art survey system, employees spend less than 15 minutes to complete the Online Self-perception Profile. This 24-page color Profile is distributed electronically as a PDF.
